The Shinigami Stack
Shinigami Stack : Where Dead Code Finds New Life was a two-day coding event organized by ACM-W CCEW, MKSSS’s Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Pune, on 24–25 November 2025 for FY and SY students. The event aimed to simplify DSA through a beginner-friendly, logic-first approach.
Day 1 featured an online workshop on DSA fundamentals like loops, arrays, searching, and sorting, engaging students actively.
Day 2 included an in-person fireside discussion with senior leaders and industry professionals, followed by a HackerRank coding contest on arrays and strings. With 100+ registrations, cash prizes, and networking, the event boosted participants’ coding confidence and problem-solving skills.
Code IT - 2025
Code-IT 2025 is an intercollegiate competitive coding competition organized by the ACM-W CCEW Student Chapter, Department of Computer Engineering, MKSSS’s Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Pune. Conducted on 11th October 2025, the event was open to FY, SY, and TY engineering students from all branches, providing a platform to showcase programming and problem-solving skills.
Held in in-person mode using the HackerRank platform, the contest featured problems of varying difficulty across data structures, algorithms, and real-world scenarios. With 100+ registrations from multiple colleges, all participants received certificates, while winners were awarded cash prizes and certificates, in line with the theme “Honouring Joan Clarke: The Woman Who Cracked Codes and Barriers.”
AxiomIVE - Intercollegiate Ideathon Competition - 2025
AxiomIVE Ideathon 2025 was an exclusive innovation challenge that empowered first and second year students to explore and transform ideas into impactful solutions.
Hosted by the ACM-W CCEW Student Chapter, the event engaged participants across six dynamic domains, encouraging structured ideation, creativity, and problem-solving.
The Ideathon celebrated innovation, motivating students to think creatively, develop solutions, and take their first steps toward making a meaningful impact.
Hands-on Workshop on Advanced Deep Learning - 2025
The Department of Computer Engineering, Cummins College of Engineering, Pune, in association with ACM and CSI, conducted a Hands-on Workshop on Advanced Deep Learning over three consecutive weeks during February–March 2025. The workshop covered AutoEncoders, RNNs, LSTMs, and GANs, integrating theory with hands-on implementation using Python and TensorFlow.
The workshop was delivered in hybrid mode and featured expert-led sessions by Dr. Bhushan Garware and Dr. Tushar Kute, ensuring interactive learning through live coding and discussions. Participants were evaluated through attendance and post-workshop assessment, and certificates of completion were awarded to successful attendees.
Scriptium Ignitus : Intercollegiate Blog Writing Competition - 2024
Scriptium Ignitus was an inter-college blog writing competition that empowered students to explore and express their ideas through the power of words.
Hosted by the ACM-W CCEW Students Chapter, the event welcomed participants from diverse fields to engage with compelling themes such as GenAI, Cybersecurity, and AR/VR.
Open to students across all disciplines, Scriptium Ignitus provided a platform for both experienced writers and beginners to showcase their creativity and insights. Participants crafted engaging content, connected with like-minded individuals, and competed for exciting rewards.
The Competition celebrated the art of writing, encouraging students to challenge themselves and make an impact through their words.
Code IT 2024
CODE-IT is an inter-college competitive coding event that challenges students to push the limits of their programming skills. This competition invites participants to compete not only against their peers but also with students from various colleges throughout Pune, creating a dynamic and competitive atmosphere.
The event was open to all colleges and targeted SY and TY students. The 7th edition of CODE-IT honored the legacy of Margaret Hamilton, a pioneering figure in software engineering whose contributions were vital to the Apollo moon missions. Participants tackled intricate coding challenges and showcased their skills. All received certificates, and top performers were rewarded with exciting prizes.
Data Science & Analysis Using Python and R - 2024
Our ACM-W CCEW chapter organized an online workshop exploring the essential concepts of data science using Python and R analytics. It was a two day event conducted on 8th and 9th March 2024 by esteemed speakers Dr Madhuri Tasgaonkar , Ms. Pranali Rekhawar ma’am and was attended by over 100 enthusiastic participants from various colleges and streams. Topics like data handling, descriptive statistics, multivariate analysis and visualization were covered. Participants gained useful insights on applying data analytics to various real life problems.








Code IT - 2022
Code-IT is an Intercollege competitive coding competition that provides a platform for students to prove their programming skills. It helps students to compete with students from not just their college, but from all colleges in Pune, giving a diverse platform and competitive environment.
This event was open for ALL colleges, for SY and TY students!The contest was held in two Levels – SY and TY (All Branches) on saturday, 26th November at Cummins College Campus,Pune.All participants were given certificates.Winners were awarded with cash prizes.








ACM Distinguished Speaker Program- 2022
Our Chapter organized a distinguished guest session on the Topic –MOBILE FORENSICS AND CYBERCRIME INVESTIGATIONS,
by ACM Distinguished speaker Dr. Rizwan Ahmed – CTO, delaPlex Independent Cybersecurity, Digital & Mobile Forensics Consultant.
The session was conducted online on google meet on 7th May 2022.100+ participants joined the session and gained useful insights on mobile forensics topic.






Deep Learning using Python- 2022
To enhance your knowledge and give you hands-on experience, ACM-W CCEW Student Chapter organized, HANDS-ON WORKSHOP ON Deep Learning using Python. It was a 6 days online workshop for all students and faculty members.
The objectives and outcomes of this training were: To understand the concept of data preparation and data handling techniques using Python. To Learn theory, implementation, and case study for CNN, RNN, Reinforcement Learning, and GAN. To Understand various opportunities and applications areas in Deep Learning







SOFTWARE TESTING - 2023
The ACM-W Student Chapter CCEW organized an expert session on the topic – SOFTWARE TESTING, WEB APPLICATIONS by our esteemed speaker Dr.
Meenakshi D’Souza, who is currently an Associate Professor at IIIT-Bangalore, worked in the areas of Formal Verification of software design, Model-based testing.
The session was conducted on Wednesday
the 19th of April 2023 from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Cummins College Campus, Pune. It was indeed an insightful session with a large and active participation of students.
