Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Pune entered into a new endeavour by forming the ACM-Women (ACM-W) Student Chapter in the Pune region on 6th October 2012.
ACM-W Student Chapter, CCEW is a student-led chapter committed to promoting technical excellence, leadership, and the active participation of women in computing.
Every year, the ACM-W Student Chapter organizes technical workshops, coding competitions, expert talks, ideathons, and innovation-driven events, while encouraging students to register for ACM and ACM-W memberships.
Membership Numbers :
Since its inception, over 100 students have been registered under the ACM-W Student Chapter. In the academic year 2025–26, the chapter achieved significant growth, expanding from 44 members in 2024–25 to 147 active members, including 87 ACM members, marking a 188% increase in active participation.
Participation / Events conducted under ACM-W student chapter CCEW :
ACM-W members have participated in conferences organized by ACM India in collaboration with TCS, Pune, and other academic–industry platforms.
Over the years, ACM-W CCEW has conducted numerous talks, coding competitions, ideathons, and workshops, along with expert and alumni sessions on topics such as Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Operating Systems, Applications of Statistics, and career development.
