ABOUT
“Raise the Ceiling” is a series of talks and panel discussions led by women who are leaders in technology and academia, organized to celebrate International Women’s Day 2026. The aim of the event is to create a space for meaningful dialogue about the experiences of women in the workplace and to encourage individuals to recognize existing barriers and work collectively toward dismantling them.
The event features keynote talks by distinguished speakers from industry and academia, including Swati Sadineni, Ashlesha Karandikar, Sushma Joshi, Dr. Geetanjali Kale, and Dr. Madhuri Khambete.
“Raise the Ceiling” is jointly organized by the ACM-W Cummins College of Engineering for Women Student Chapter, the ACM-W Pune Professional Chapter, and the ACM Pune Professional Chapter.

Where do we stand today?
When we talk about raising the ceiling, it is not about giving women an advantage. It is about removing the disadvantage; and finally realizing the value that has too often been overlooked.
The ceiling doesn’t rise on its own. We raise it together, purposefully and with the full understanding that what we stand to gain is not just a fairer world, but a stronger one.
